The patroness of Medicina is Saint Lucy, celebrated on 13 December.
The town's calendar is rich in events: on the last Sunday of March, the Festa di Primavera is held, with plant and flower exhibitions and the opening of the civic museum; on the second weekend of July, Medicipolla is held, including the Antica Fiera di Luglio dedicated to the local onion; and on the third weekend of September, the Festa del Barbarossa is held, with the Palio della Serpe, the Convivium de lo Fuoco and other re-enactments. The town also holds the church of San Mamante and the clock tower.
