Exactly 9 kilometers north of Modena sits Soliera, a flatland municipality of just over 15,000 residents. Alongside Carpi, Novi di Modena, and Campogalliano, it forms a local administrative collective known as the Unione delle Terre d'Argine.
Referred to as Sulêra in the regional dialect, the town's territory incorporates several small hamlets such as Appalto and Limidi. Located 40 kilometers northwest of Bologna, it functions as a straightforward transit point within the northern Emilian province.
