The patron saint of Langhirano is Saint James the Less, celebrated on 25 March.
Since 1997, Langhirano has been the main venue of the Prosciutto di Parma Festival, held every year generally in the first two weeks of September, with the special opening of numerous local prosciutto producers; the Prosciutto di Parma Museum is also dedicated to the product. The town also holds the Castle of Torrechiara and the Castle of Castrignano.
