The patron of Mortegliano is Saint Paul, celebrated for his Conversion on 25 January.
Since the 1990s, the «Sigillo d'oro di San Paolo» prize has been awarded, honouring figures and associations from Mortegliano who have set an example for the community. In September, the festeggiamenti settembrini are held, traditionally closing summer and the long season of feasts across the Medio Friuli area. The town also holds the Duomo and the famous bell tower of Mortegliano.
