The patron of Ruda is Saint Stephen, celebrated on 26 December in the Church of Santo Stefano Protomartire.
Every two years, the Palio dei Borghi is held, pitting against each other in around fifteen events, from a sweet-making contest to dance, the four boroughs of Brichis, Dota, Menteressa and Nordisa. Every summer, the «Sagra dai Cros» is also held, organized by the local football club Calcio Ruda, where fried frogs can be tasted. The town also holds the Castello di Saciletto and Palazzo Antonini Belgrado.
