The patron of Amaseno is Saint Lawrence, celebrated on 10 August.
The Amaseno-descended community of Chicago has established, within its local archdiocese, a San Lorenzo Festival with an annual procession in honour of the patron, also attended by women in traditional Amaseno costume. In town, every July the Festa della mozzarella di bufala e dell'agricoltura is held, with mozzarella and meat tastings: by 2010 it had reached its fourteenth edition.
