The patron of Piglio is Saint Lawrence the Martyr, celebrated on 10 August: in the setting of the Castello Colonna, shooting stars are watched with the Calici di Stelle event, amid the wines of this wine town.
The Feast of the Madonna delle Rose, born as thanksgiving for the end of the 1656 plague, is held the day after Pentecost and on 31 October; the statue, kept from May to October, is carried back in procession to its shrine on 30 October, the anniversary of Piglio's liberation from the plague. The town also holds the Convent of San Lorenzo.
