The patron saint of Pontecorvo is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 29 August.
Carnival is deeply felt by residents: Pontecorvo is known as the «Capital of the Ciociaro Carnival» thanks to a float-building school passed down over the years, among the most important events in the whole of Lower Lazio, with a parade similar to the famous Viareggio carnival. The first Sunday of May, in the Tordoni district, at the foot of Monte Leuci, a procession climbs to the mountain's summit, which holds a church, to honour the Madonna di Monte Leuci, patron of the hamlet. The town holds the Co-Cathedral of San Bartolomeo and the Aurunci Mountains Park.
