The patron saint of Priverno is Saint Thomas Aquinas, celebrated on 7 March: on this very day in 1274, the great Dominican theologian and philosopher, one of the pillars of the Catholic Church, died at the Abbey of Fossanova.
The town also hosts the «Palio» del Tributo, established in 1993, a historical reenactment of events documented from the 16th to the 19th century. The feast's origins are very ancient: thought to date back to the formation of the participating communities, around the 9th-10th century, following the abandonment of the ancient site of the Mezzagosto plain, where Roman Privernum once stood. Priverno also holds the Roman Theatre and the Co-Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata.
