The patron of Taleggio is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June; the municipality holds the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista.
In the hamlet of Olda, on Epiphany, the re-enactment of the arrival of the Three Kings in Bethlehem is staged every year, begun in 1948; also in Olda, every 31 January, the traditional peasant rite of driving out winter takes place, with a noisy procession of cowbells and the burning of a white dummy that symbolises winter. On the first Sunday of October, since 2000, the Festa del ritorno with the Brown Swiss cattle show is held at Sottochiesa.
