The patrons of Bienno are Saints Faustinus and Jovita, celebrated on 15 February, a date marking the end of Carnival and the start of Lent.
An old local custom is instead tied to 29 June, the eve of Saints Peter and Paul: an egg white is placed in a bottle left outdoors overnight, and by the following morning the egg white takes the shape of a boat. The town also holds the Ethnographic Museum of Iron and the Church of San Pietro in Vincoli.
