The patron saints of Darfo Boario Terme are Faustinus and Jovita, celebrated on 15 February in the church dedicated to them.
Faustinus and Jovita were two young Brescian noblemen, probably brothers, who lived in the 2nd century and pursued a military career, becoming knights; converted to Christianity by bishop Apollonius, they were martyred between 120 and 134 AD for refusing to sacrifice to the gods. They are also patrons of the city and diocese of Brescia, as well as of the parishes of Sorbolo, Chiari and Sarezzo; Saint Faustinus in particular is traditionally considered the patron of singles. The municipal territory also holds the Castello di Gorzone and the Castello di Montecchio.
