One of the patrons of Dongo is Saint Stephen, celebrated on 26 December.
The town, on the shore of Lake Como, holds Palazzo Manzi and the Parco Giardino del Merlo, as well as the San Bernardo chapel and Santa Maria in Martinico. It also hosts the Museo della Fine della Guerra, dedicated to the events of April 1945. The town's other patron, Saint Gotthard, is celebrated on 4 May.
