One of the patrons of Castel Goffredo is Saint Luke, celebrated on 18 October and declared the town's patron by the municipal council on 1 January 1725.
The Fiera di San Luca, established by a decree of Alessandro Gonzaga on 21 July 1457, is still held today in the historic centre; the town's other patron is Saint Erasmus, on 2 June.
