The patron of San Giovanni del Dosso is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June; the municipality holds the church of San Giovanni Battista.
The village sagra takes place on the first Sunday of July, while «I Presepiari» (the nativity-scene makers) are held in December and January. The municipality also holds the Chiesa della Visitazione della Beata Vergine a Sant'Elisabetta.
