The patron of Albera Ligure is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June; the municipality holds the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista.
The most important event is the Festa del Pane, in the locality of Molino di Santamaria, whose oven has produced fine loaves of bread since 1700 thanks to the power of a water mill. The festival is organised by the municipality and the Comunità Montana Val Borbera and takes place on the Sunday after Ferragosto (15 August).
