The patron saints of San Nicandro Garganico are Saints Nicander, Marcian and Daria, celebrated on 17 June; co-patroness is the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, celebrated on 8 December.
The Fiera d'Ottobre del Gargano, an event dating back to 1842, enlivens the town every year, together with «Aspettando il Natale» and the Christmas markets of the Gargano. According to ancient traditions, bonfires are lit each year in different districts of the town, symbolising the start of the traditional Carnevale Sannicandrese. The municipal territory also holds the Norman-Aragonese Castle and Torre Mileto.
