The patron of Arnesano is the Most Holy Crucifix, celebrated on the first Sunday of July.
Pastoral visitation records show that as early as 1685, Saint Anthony of Padua was celebrated in the Church of Sant'Antonio da Padova, and that indulgences were gained on the Sunday after 13 June; inside the church stands a single altar, with the saint's stone statue. The town also holds the main church of Maria SS. Assunta and the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate.
