The patron of San Pietro in Lama is Saint Peter the Apostle, celebrated on the second Sunday of July.
The town hosts the Nicola Calipari Botanical Garden, and also holds the Church of Maria Santissima Assunta and the rock-cut chapel of the Immaculate Conception.
