The patron saint of Leporano is Saint Emidius, celebrated from 3 to 5 August.
Born in Trier in 273 and died in Ascoli Piceno on 5 August 303 or 309, Emidius was a Roman bishop and martyr, venerated by the Catholic Church as a protector against earthquakes: he is the patron of the city and diocese of Ascoli Piceno, as well as of Leporano and Cerro al Volturno. The town holds the Castello Muscettola and the Saturo Archaeological Park.
