Saint Joseph, patron between the Arbëreshë community and the bundle procession
📅 Every year, on 19 March, coinciding with Father's Day, with the bundle procession
San Marzano di San Giuseppe celebrates Saint Joseph on 19 March, a date that coincides with Father's Day and falls in the olive-pruning season. The feast anticipated the abstinence from meat and dairy that the Arbëreshë observed during Advent and Lent; the origin of the bundle procession dates back to an event of the early 19th century.
