The patroness of Lula is Santa Maria Assunta (Assumption of Mary), celebrated on 15 August.
Among the local traditions «su ballu e sa vaglia», a sort of rite to nullify the harmful power of the evil eye, and the mask of su Battileddu, protagonist of Lula's carnival, the victim, deserve mention. The municipality also holds the Santuario di San Matteo, the churches of San Francesco d'Assisi, Madonna di Valverde and Nostra Signora del Miracolo, and the Museo Arte Contemporanea Lula.
