The patron saint of Oliena is Saint Ignatius of Loyola, celebrated on 31 July in the Church of Sant'Ignazio di Loyola.
Besides the most important patronal feasts, such as those of Saint Lussorio and Easter, in which the Tenore is always among the protagonists, feasts such as «N.S. de Musserrata», «Santu Juvanne», «Sant'Antoni» and «Bonuhaminu» punctuate the year's calendar. On the night of 16 January, a great bonfire is prepared in each district of the town, in honour of Saint Anthony the Abbot. The town also holds the Church of Santa Maria Assunta and the Corbeddu Cave.
