The patron of Orune is Santa Maria Maggiore, celebrated on 5 August in the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore.
The town lives a full year of festivals: Nostra Segnora de su Cramminu, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, on the last Sunday of August; Nostra Segnora 'e su Cossòlu, Our Lady of Consolation, on the first Monday of August; Santu Biàssu Duttòre, Saint Blaise, on 3 February; Santu Sidore, Saint Isidore the Farmer, between the second and third Sunday of May. The area holds the Fonte Sacra Su Tempiesu and the Nuraghe Nunnale.
