The patron of Mogoro is Saint Bernardino of Siena, celebrated on 20 May in the Church of San Bernardino, the town's parish church. He has been patron since 1582, when he replaced Saint Antiochus.
The town is also known for its rugs and tapestries: from the traditional «Fiera del tappeto» in August grew the «Fiera dell'Artigianato artistico della Sardegna», held between mid-July and mid-September with over a hundred exhibitors from across the island. The town also holds the Cuccurada, Serra Muru and Su Boi nuraghi.
