On the lower slopes of Monte Arci, at Campuanni, lies the obsidian deposit of Conca 'e Cannas: it is held to be the largest and most important in the Mediterranean. The site is in zone 1 of the Sardinian historical and environmental geomineral park, in the UNESCO geoparks network and in the Monte Arci natural park, and in 2016 the obsidian park was opened there. Not far off is Su Corongiu de Fanari, an andesitic megapillow which for its size and state of preservation is considered practically unique in the world. The village has three museums: the Monte Arci geomuseum, opened in 2010 in the former Capuchin convent, the museum of the Cavalieri delle Colline of 2013, and the Aquilegia natural history museum, which arrived from Cagliari in 2019.

Two natural monuments here are people turned to stone. Sa Perda Sperrada is, in the tale of Luxia Arrabiosa, a pig split in two by the kick of a woman driven wild by the loss of her children on the Prabanta plateau. Sa Perda e Sposa is a wedding party: the bride and groom, the launeddas player who went with them and the horses, all turned to stone on a July day because the bride had mocked the bells of Masullas, ringing for the procession of the Vergine Gloriosa, comparing them to the bells of her father's flocks. In 1927 a royal decree merged Masullas with Siris and Pompu, and its autonomy came back only in 1961. Its arms of 1984 are an inventory: a carnelian cut like a brilliant, the church of San Leonardo, two olive branches with a bunch of black grapes, and six sheep grazing among sixteen trees.
