The patrons of Tempio Pausania are Saint Paul the Hermit and Our Lady of the Good Journey, celebrated on 30 August.
The town is known for «lu carrasciali timpiesu», the most famous allegorical-float carnival parade in Sardinia. During the celebrations, «lu palu di la frisgiola» was also held, an ancient horseback skill contest where riders must catch a fritter set at considerable height while galloping. The town holds the Church of Santa Croce and the Church of San Francesco, as well as the Izzana and Majori nuraghi.
