The patron saint of San Sperate is Saint Sperate the Martyr, celebrated on 17 July in the Parrocchia San Sperate martire.
The town hosts the open-air museum and Sounding Garden of sculptor Pinuccio Sciola, famous for his «sounding stones». Since 22 July 2016 the Sciola Foundation has carried on his work, also curating the «Sant'Arte» visual and performing arts festival, with talks, exhibitions and theatrical performances. The town also holds the Church of San Giovanni Battista and the Megalithic Garden.
