Referred to as San Giuvanni in the local Sicilian dialect, San Giovanni Gemini is a municipality of 8,127 residents in the province of Agrigento. The town sits roughly 60 kilometers southeast of Palermo and 35 kilometers north of Agrigento itself.
Its position in the island's interior places it almost exactly between the regional capital and the southern coastline. The settlement functions primarily as a standard residential hub within the provincial network of central Sicily.
