Camporeale celebrates Saint Anthony of Padua on 13 June with a procession accompanied by the band; after Mass, children and adults gather in the Baglio to fraternise over pasta and lentils, since he is also protector of orphans and children.

The patron saint of Camporeale is Saint Anthony of Padua, to whom the people of Camporeale are deeply devoted: solemnly celebrated on 13 June, he is regarded as protector of orphans and more generally of children, but also of the sick and of bakers. His feast is celebrated with a procession accompanied by a musical band through the town's streets; after Holy Mass, children and adults gather in the Baglio di Camporeale to fraternise over pasta and lentils.

A church already existed in the castle, built by the Jesuits, but having become insufficient and unsafe for the growing population, it was moved in 1832 to a larger building, dedicated precisely to Saint Anthony of Padua. Between 1862 and 1881, archpriest Father Giuseppe D'Alessandro worked to build the present mother church, in the Neoclassical style with three naves, with the collaboration of the population: frescoed in 1954, it was recently restored after damage suffered in the 1968 earthquake. The Baglio, the beating heart of the old local economy, was a huge complex of warehouses, stables, residences and craft workshops, whose proceeds also served charitable activity for the neediest: Camporeale is today known as the city of wine and wood.
