The patron saints of Laives are Saint Anthony the Abbot and Saint Nicholas, celebrated on 17 January in the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate e San Nicolò.
Between the municipal capital and the hamlet of Pineta, the Laives Carnival is held every year, one of the largest in the region. The town also once hosted the Small Naval Museum, the largest collection of scale models in Europe. The municipal territory also holds the Chapel of San Pietro and the Church of San Giacomo.
