One of the patrons of Salorno is Saint Joseph, celebrated on 19 March.
In 2010, an attempt was made to revive the town's carnival: the main theme of the parade was the dwarf Perkeo, a historical figure born in Salorno, who after centuries spent in Heidelberg, Germany, symbolically returns home and receives the keys to the town. On Carnival Saturday, the return of the dwarf is celebrated, along with the end of the «tyranny» of the old municipal administration, which is «imprisoned» during the parade. Salorno's other patron, Saint Andrew the Apostle, is celebrated on 30 November.
