The patrons of Rovereto are Saint Mark, celebrated on 25 April and titular of the archpriest's church, and Mary Help of Christians, whose date is 5 August.
That 5 August is a votive procession, and for three centuries it has expressed the town's gratitude. Popularly it is taken for the Roman Madonna della Neve, which falls on the same day: but it is another thing, and entirely of Rovereto.
