Fivizzano celebrates Saint Anthony the Abbot on 17 January. Every July, since 1971, the Disfida fra Arcieri di Terra e Corte is repeated, a historical re-enactment of a singular archery contest held in 1571 in Piazza Medicea, with a parade of over three hundred participants in 16th-century costume.

The patron saint of Fivizzano is Saint Anthony the Abbot, celebrated on 17 January.

Every July, since 1971, the historical event known as the Disfida fra Arcieri di Terra e Corte is repeated, recalling a singular archery contest held in 1571 in what was then Piazza Maggiore, now Piazza Medicea, between the archers of la Terra and those of the districts of Guardia, Verrucola, Fittadisio and Montechiaro: over three hundred participants in 16th-century costume parade through the flag-decked town. In December 1790, right from Piazza Medicea, a hot-air balloon lifted off before more than two thousand people. The town also holds the Pizzo d'Uccello and Monte Sagro.
