The patron of Santa Croce sull'Arno is Blessed Christiana da Santa Croce, celebrated on 4 January in the Church of Santa Cristiana.
Between the first and second week of December, the Festa dell'amaretto santacrocese is held, celebrating the town's traditional sweet and involving all local bakers in a competition. Since 1928, carnival parades have also been held through the town centre's streets, with the town's four carnival groups competing. The town also holds the Church of San Rocco and the Museum of Tanning.
