The patron of Badia Calavena is Saint Vitus, celebrated on 15 June in the Church of Santi Vito, Modesto e Crescenzia.
The second Sunday of June brings the Sagra dell'Abbazia, and in the same month the Feast of Saint Peter. In July, at San Valentino, the Madonna del Carmine is celebrated, while on the last Sunday of the month, in Sprea, the statue of Saint Roch is carried in procession to Monte Casteche for the Festa dell'Avoto, in thanksgiving for the end of the 1630 plague. The town overlooks Monte Naute and Monte Tomba.
