The patron saint of Legnago is Saint Martin, bishop, celebrated on 11 November in the cathedral dedicated to him, standing in Piazza della Libertà: an unfinished work of the neoclassical period, it was rebuilt between the 18th and 19th centuries and inaugurated in 1814 to a design by don Francesco Ziggiotti.
In the hamlet of Vigo there is also a church, dating from the 17th century and expanded in 1857, named after the same patron, Saint Martin: inside it holds two 17th-century paintings, a fresco depicting the Madonna attributed to Domenico Riccio known as il Brusasorci, and the Deposition by Farinati. The cathedral square, the town's richest in history, also holds the Torrione and the remains of the old walls of the Austrian Quadrilatero, largely demolished at the end of the 19th century to allow the town to expand.
