On 23 April every year the patronal feasts in honour of Saint George, patron of the municipality, are held in Pereto.
Since 1970, on 26 December each year, the living nativity scene is staged; in 1973 some scenes of Liliana Cavani's film «Milarepa» were shot on the mountains behind the town, and some panoramic views of the village appear in Richard Donner's «Ladyhawke» (1985). The Castello di Pereto stands in its territory.
