The patron of Soveria Mannelli is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June in the Church of San Giovanni Battista.
On the last Saturday and Sunday of July, in the hamlet of San Tommaso, the feast of the Madonna dell'Abbandonata is held, while the third and fourth Sunday of October see the feast of the Madonna della Purità. The town also holds the Museum of Wool and Textile Craft and the Church of San Michele Arcangelo.
