The patron of Bonifati is Saint Mary Magdalene, celebrated on 22 July.
The town holds the 17th-century, Baroque-style Church of the Annunziata, which houses a 16th-century sculptural Annunciation group and an 18th-century wooden choir by Fra Gennaro da Bonifati. On the first Sunday of October, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated, while in the hamlet of Cittadella del Capo, on the third Sunday of August, the votive feast of Saint Francis of Paola, patron of Calabria and of seafarers, is held. The town also holds the Shrine of the Beata Vergine SS. del Rosario.
