The patron of Mongiana is San Rocco, celebrated on 16 August.
The origins of the village, whose name comes from that of a stream that flowed on the Piana Stagliata di Micone, are recent: the settlement was founded on 8 March 1771 on the Cima hill. The municipality also holds the Chiesa della Beata Vergine delle Grazie, the Calvario di Mongiana, the Fonderia di Mongiana, Monte Pecoraro and the Parco Naturale Regionale delle Serre.
