The patron of Nusco is Saint Amatus of Nusco, celebrated on 30 September.
Among the town's traditions is also the "Night of the Bonfires", in mid-January: born after the 1656 plague, which claimed about 1,200 victims, when bonfires were first used to burn clothes and objects believed infected, as a sign of liberation from the epidemic.
