The patron of Villamaina is Saint Paulinus of Nola, celebrated together with Saint Anthony on 21 and 22 June. The procession with the statues of the saints and the town band passes through the town, and in the evening a classical music concert is held.
On 15 and 16 August the feast of the Madonna Assunta and of San Rocco is celebrated, with a religious service, a procession with the statues of the saints and the «Palo della Cuccagna»: the climb up a poplar pole several metres high and smeared with grease, on top of which, until the first half of the 1990s, typical products such as hams and cheeses were hung.
