The patrons of Santo Stefano del Sole are Saint Vitus, celebrated on 15 June and on the last Sunday of August, and Saint Stephen the Protomartyr, on 3 August. Saint Vitus is also celebrated on the last Sunday of August because his sacred remains were brought from Rome to Santo Stefano del Sole on that very day, the last Sunday of August 1814.
The municipality holds the Chiesa di Santo Stefano and the Chiesa di San Giuseppe; the church of the Santissimo Sacramento, next to the Mother Church, was built in 1836.
