The patron saint of Alife is Pope Sixtus I, celebrated on 11 August.
On the evening of Good Friday, a 19th-century painting and a sculptural group of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Dead Christ are carried solemnly in procession. Deeply felt among the people too is the devotion to the Marònn'a Gràzia, in whose honour a feast is held every year on the third Sunday of September. The town holds the Cathedral of Alife, the Roman amphitheatre and the Norman castle.
