Pope Sixtus I, patron of the Good Friday procession
📅 Every year, on 11 August; Good Friday brings the Addolorata and Cristo Morto procession
Alife celebrates Pope Sixtus I on 11 August. On the evening of Good Friday, a sculptural group of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Dead Christ is carried solemnly in procession. Deeply felt too is the devotion to the Maronna Grazia, celebrated on the third Sunday of September.
