The patron of Alvignano is Saint Ferdinand of Aragon, celebrated on the second Sunday of July in the Basilica of San Ferdinando.
On 26 July, Saint Anne is solemnly celebrated, while in the early days of August it is the Madonna's turn, with her own dedicated devotion. On Shrove Tuesday, as in many places, the allegorical floats put together by the various districts parade for the Alvignano Carnival. The town also holds the Shrine of the Addolorata and the ruins of the Aragonese castle.
