The most cherished feast in Santa Maria a Vico is that of Saint Mary of the Assumption, on 15 August, celebrated in the Basilica of Maria Santissima Assunta with a float parading through the town's streets. The town's patron, Saint Nicholas of Bari, is celebrated on 6 December.
Every year, during summer, several neighbourhood feasts also take place in honour of other religious figures. The town also holds the Congrega Loretana and the Parish of San Marco Evangelista.
