Among the patrons of Castelcivita is Saint Nicholas of Bari, celebrated on 6 December; the other patron, Saint Cono the Wonderworker, is celebrated on 3 June.
The town is renowned for the Grotte di Castelcivita, one of the largest karst cave systems in the Cilento.
