The patron of Serre is Saint Martin, celebrated on 11 November in the Church of San Martino.
The municipal territory holds the Oasi di Persano, a natural area along the Sele river, and the Shrine of the Madonna dell'Olivo, as well as the Museum of Peasant Life and the Marco Simoncelli Auditorium.
